Join the Infinite Aged Care team as a Chef Manager and make a real impact on our residents’ lives through food! This exciting role, based at our Southhaven care home, is a key leadership position where you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, leading a passionate team, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service.

As Chef Manager, you will bring your vision, creativity, and passion for wellness in food to every service. You’ll actively engage with residents to gather feedback, driving improvements in meals and nutrition, while leading a team equally committed to delivering high-quality food across the dining hall, café, in-room dining, and events. What You'll Do:

• Lead the creation of exceptional dining experiences, preparing meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and nutrition plans, with seasonal menus that ensure variety, quality, and the highest levels of food safety and presentation standards.
• Manage kitchen operations, budgets, procurement, stocktakes, and regular equipment maintenance.
• Lead and motivate kitchen staff by fostering a positive, collaborative culture that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and consistently high standards of food service.
• Champion food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory audits.
• Partner with the Chef Community to share ideas and innovations.
• Build strong, professional relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, actively seeking feedback to improve food and dining experiences.
• Support student placements and provide mentorship to junior chefs.

About You

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) and a valid Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing kitchen teams.
• A natural communicator who thrives on feedback and creates a positive, safe workplace culture.
• Passionate about food and committed to delivering high-quality, nutritious meals.
• Experienced in food safety and hygiene standards.
• Previous aged care or similar catering experience is highly desirable.
