Chef / Kitchen Manager
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team and oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy burger bar and live music venue on the Gold Coast.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in running an organised and efficient kitchen.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a kitchen team of approximately 5 staff

Oversee daily kitchen operations and service

Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency

Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships

Monitor food costs, wastage, and kitchen efficiency

Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

Train, support, and roster kitchen staff

Work closely with management to maintain smooth venue operations

Assist with menu planning and seasonal updates where required
About You

Previous experience in a senior chef or kitchen management role

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to work calmly under pressure

Organised and reliable with strong attention to detail

Experience with stock ordering and cost control

Understanding of food safety and WHS requirements
