Chef / Kitchen Manager

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team and oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy burger bar and live music venue on the Gold Coast.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in running an organised and efficient kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a kitchen team of approximately 5 staff
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and service
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
  • Monitor food costs, wastage, and kitchen efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Train, support, and roster kitchen staff
  • Work closely with management to maintain smooth venue operations
  • Assist with menu planning and seasonal updates where required

About You

  • Previous experience in a senior chef or kitchen management role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Organised and reliable with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with stock ordering and cost control
  • Understanding of food safety and WHS requirements
  • Positive attitude and team-focused approach
