The Role
We’re seeking a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Julio’s Italian Restaurant. Reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes while supporting and mentoring junior kitchen team members.
You’ll bring strong technical skills, pride in presentation, and a genuine passion for food and teamwork, contributing to memorable dining experiences for every guest.
What you’ll do
Lead you’re the kitchen during service and manage daily kitchen operations
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
Support and mentor more junior Chefs and kitchen team members
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times
Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Assist with stock control, prep, and minimising waste
Uphold Holiday Inn and IHG brand standards in all aspects of kitchen operations
What we need from you
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie
Commercial Cookery qualification or equivalent experience
Have an understanding and interest in Italian cuisine including knowledge of food trends and cooking techniques
Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail
Ability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. (The ideal candidate will have 4 days availability).
Must have legal right to work in Australia
