About the Role 

As Cook, you will support the Chef and Chef de Partie in the overall operations of the Food Services kitchen. You will assist in delivering nutritious and balanced meals to students, staff, and school visitors, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to a high standard.

You will maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards at all times, following all relevant health and safety regulations. A strong understanding of food allergies and dietary requirements is essential to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all members of the school community.

The role requires a positive attitude, teamwork, and a strong commitment to the school’s values and ethos. You will also support in the planning and preparation of healthy catering options, contributing ideas to promote nutritious and appealing menus.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and quality standards.
• Support the Chef and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and proper storage.
• Be aware of food allergies and special dietary requirements.
• Assist in menu planning and provide healthy, balanced meal options.
• Be a team player
