At Contour, we’re reshaping education, one student at a time.

Born from the frustration of students who knew the system could be better, we set out to build what we once wished existed: tutoring that actually works. Not generic classes. Not recycled notes. Not overpriced, overcrowded rooms with an out-of-touch teacher who couldn’t relate. But a complete ecosystem of tutoring, resources, and support, meticulously designed to help every student reach their full potential.

Since 2020, over 10,000+ students have trusted Contour to guide their academic journey, and we’ve grown to over 300+ team members. We’ve produced hundreds of 99+ ATARs, tutored the World-Record UCAT scorer, and placed more students into medical school than any school in Australia.

What You Will Do

• Support - You'll act as a secondary tutor during classes (most classes have two tutors), helping address student questions and clarifying concepts while the primary tutor teaches.
• Consult - Conduct 1-on-1 video consultations outside of class hours, which students can book at no extra cost.
• Assist - Provide ongoing text-based support to answer student questions promptly after class.
• Review - Proofread and review learning materials (workbooks, notes, SACs/Exams) to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Mentor - Be a mentor for students, telling anecdotal stories of success & failure.
• Connect - Build genuine connections with students. You're relatable, making it easy to relate and inspire.

Note: All additional support provided to students outside of scheduled class hours is completely free for students, but you'll be fully compensated for your time and effort!

What You Will Bring

• VCE completion with 99+ ATAR and 43+ raw study score in VCE Biology
• First-year university level knowledge or above in Biology
• Tutoring experience in VCE Biology (favourable)
• Academic Awards in Biology (favourable)
• A full academic year commitment with 10+ hours weekly availability.
• Alignment with Contour’s mission (non-compete agreement required).
• A genuine passion for helping students succeed.

1. Submit your written application (CV and study scores)
2. Submit a short video (5–10 minutes) of you tutoring with a sample workbook we provide
3. Attend an in-person interview, which includes Q&A and teaching a mock small-group class
