Sous Chef

• Aged Care facility in Caloundra (Little Mountain)
• $32.50 per hour as a permanent full-time employee + weekend penalties

The Position

• Wednesday to Sunday shifts for the successful new hire
• Assist and oversee food production and menu-based catering for 102 residents in this modern aged care facility. 
• Ensuring all OH&S compliance is achieved, adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures
• Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to the minimum
• Assist with rostering, ordering, stock control and other administrative duties related to a senior chef posit

The Person

• Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery 
• Experience with cooking healthy and nutritious food in bulk quantities
• Experience in HACCP, food safety and infection control 
• Aged care experience preferred / good understanding of IDDSI and the preparation of texture modified meals 
• NPC: Able to obtain a National Police Check
