The Fresh Collective is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef – Events to lead the Events Kitchen at the iconic Art Gallery of New South Wales.

The Role

  • Lead the Events Kitchen and oversee food preparation for functions and events
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, flavour, and presentation
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain high production standards
  • Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen brigade
  • Manage kitchen operations including preparation, service, and stock control
  • Maintain excellent food safety and cleanliness standards

About You

  • Passionate chef with strong leadership skills
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within hotels, catering, or events
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and team leadership abilities
  • Valid Australian working rights
