Poor Toms is a modern hospitality venue located in Marrickville NSW, offering a contemporary food and beverage experience in a vibrant and welcoming environment.

Poor Toms is now looking for an experienced Cook to join their team.

The right candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items
• Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to restaurant recipes
• Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage
• Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards
• Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed
• Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use
• Cleaning and sterilising food preparation areas
• Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner
• Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders
• Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head Chef

• At least 1 year of experience as a Cook
• Strong cooking and organisational skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and for extended periods of time
• Strong communication skills
