We are seeking a Cook to join our team at Goonellabah Retirement Living Village on a permanent part‑time basis. In this role, you will assist in preparing and serving nutritious, wholesome meals for residents and clients in line with HACCP food safety standards.
Hours: Every Thursday and Friday, plus every second Wednesday 8:00am – 2:00pm
A bit about your new role:
Cook and prepare a full range of meals
Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
Participate in food operations, including cook‑fresh and cook‑chill processes
Prepare and serve nutritious meals with appropriate variety
Order food supplies as required
Prepare special and modified diets
Support catering for functions and events
A bit about you:
Experience in a catering or food service role (aged care or retirement living experience desirable but not essential)
Ability to work independently and within a team, and follow direction
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of Food Safety requirements
Experience in bulk cooking, preferably in aged care
Understanding of quality systems related to catering services
