How you will make contributions that matter
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations at Cheese World in Allansford.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for creating exceptional food experiences, leading back-of-house operations and ensuring the kitchen consistently delivers high-quality food and service.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Cheese World kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation and service.
- Design and develop seasonal menus, catering offerings and special event menus that showcase Saputo Dairy Australia products.
- Manage food preparation, stock control, supplier ordering and inventory to support efficient operations.
- Monitor food, labour and wastage costs to achieve budget and profitability targets.
- Train, coach and support kitchen team members while fostering a positive team culture.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, quality and workplace health and safety requirements.
About you
- Qualified Chef with a Commercial Cookery qualification.
- Holds (or can obtain) Food Safety Supervisor and RSA certifications.
- Previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or similar leadership role.
- Strong menu development, food preparation and culinary creativity skills.
- Experience managing food costing, budgets, inventory and supplier relationships.
- Highly organised with strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
