Position Title: Café Cook

Classification: Hospitality Award – Cook Grade 4, Wage Level 5 Location: Tom Quinn – Bundaberg Status: Full Time

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and energetic Café Cook to help bring the Tom Quinn Café to life. In this role, you’ll prepare high‑quality food that meets TSA standards, support the Café Team Leader, and help deliver an exceptional customer experience—all while keeping costs and waste to a minimum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare fresh, great‑tasting food that meets quality and presentation standards.
  • Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen that meets legislative and best‑practice requirements.
  • Handle, prepare, and store food in line with Australian Food Safety Standards and TSA policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives with the Hospitality Manager.
  • Ensure all food is served at the correct temperature.
  • Keep all café areas—inside and out—clean, tidy, safe, and hazard‑free.

What You Bring

  • Relevant qualifications and/or hands‑on experience in commercial cooking.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in food service.
  • A valid Working With Children Check.
  • Food Safety Certificate.
